RUSSELLVILLE — Donald “Turtle” Boyles, 67,
of Russellville died Nov. 3, 2007, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
The Logan County native was born Sept. 27, 1940. He was an active member of
Crittenden Drive Church of Christ, where he was an elder, Sunday school teacher
for the adult men’s class and coordinator for the Senior Saints. He was
also a Kentucky Colonel and an Army veteran. He was a shift supervisor for
ITW for 21 years, worked at Logan Aluminum for 11 years and was a current employee
of Sanders Funeral Home. He was a son of the late Hilton Boyles and Myra Hinton
Boyles.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sanders Funeral Home, with burial in Maple
Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Campbell Boyles; a brother, Mike Boyles
and his wife, Diane, of Russellville; a daughter, Andra Bledsoe and her husband,
Charles, of Hermitage, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Campbell and Claire Bledsoe,
both of Hermitage, and Celeste Boyles of Athens, Tenn.; a sister, Betty Parker
and her husband, Bobby, of Tullahoma, Tenn.; and a son, Jeff Boyles and his
wife, Shelley, of Athens.
